                                            Board Meeting – March 4, 2007

                                                 6 pm, Fuerst Residence

 

 

  • Meeting was called to order by Co-presidents Sharon Fuerst & Bill Hoffman at 6 PM.  Members present were Vinny Fuerst and Joan Santora.

 

  • Minutes of November 10, 2006 meeting were reviewed including Community House rental agreement.  Bill and Sharon discussed the latest agreement provisions regarding alcoholic beverages; all agreed to appropriate wording and the necessity to obtain a liability policy by renter.  CH building maintenance was discussed in detail. Mike Gentile will be asked to review and recommend lawn maintenance arrangements for the year 2007.  Mike Darling will be contacted by Bill regarding the need for roof repair or replacement and costs involved.

 

  • Paul Knoll informed board that website hosting would be $14.00/mos. plus $20/domain name. It was agreed to continue the site with the choice of  “www.cousinsandlittlejohnislands.org” as the website address.

 

  • Liaisons for committees were named: Bill Hoffman for Wildlife Committee, (Minutes of Wildlife Committee Meeting held by Paul Knoll in November, 2006 were emailed out to committee members following the late fall meeting), Sharon Fuerst for Bylaws Committee, Karen McEntee for Nominating Committee, Mike Gentile for Mainenance Committee.

 

  • The Wildlife Committee minutes from November 2006 were reviewed.  It was noted that the Wildlife Committee met with the Yarmouth Conservation Commission to discuss cooperation. They expressed strong support.

 

  • CLIIA has been sponsoring the annual presentation of the Historical Society (free rental of CH) and the Historical Society would like a member of the CLIIA to attend a meeting to brainstorm ideas for the topic of the presentation.  It was decided to send someone next year to the Historical Society meeting. 

 

  • Sharon will be preparing the next CLIIA Newsletter for circulation before the Bittersweet Clipping in April.  It will be distributed by announcement and availability at the CH porch or yard.

Harvest Supper @ CH, Sat. Oct. 20, 2007 (George & Karen McEntee)

 

Halloween Party discussion was tabled until the Sanford’s are able to attend (Andy and Lisa Sanford)

 

  • Meeting was adjourned at 7:30 PM.
